Weekly

New

  • A guide that points at the fields — on your couple page, a short walkthrough now sits next to the inputs themselves: fill in your partner's first name and it moves on to their country, then tells you the page has everything it needs. Only two fields are ever required — the rest is yours to fill in whenever you like.

  • Your own welcome message, in every language — Premium couples can now write the little greeting guests see when they open the wedding site, per site language, in Settings → Guests. Type {{guest.fn}} or {{guest.ln}} and each guest is welcomed by their own name, in their own language.

  • Choose how your hero photo appears — under Design → Hero photo you can now keep the photo behind your names (and dial the veil over it up or down so the text stays readable), or open your site with the photo alone and let your names appear as guests scroll.

  • See your site the moment it's ready — as soon as you've added enough for your site to render, the Preview button rings to catch your eye and a short note explains where it is and how to come back to it. Preview as often as you like while you edit — nothing goes public until you press Publish.

Improved

  • Reminder emails now speak your language — the occasional nudge about finishing your site, adding guests or inviting your partner arrives in the language you set up LumiWed in, not English.

  • Comparing us with others — the comparison table now sticks to what each platform does, and points you at their own pricing page for what it costs. Prices move; features are what you're actually choosing between.

  • The dashboard points at things the same way everywhere — whether a button has just become useful or you tried to continue with a required field still empty, the cue now looks and behaves the same on every page. Jumping to a missed field also opens the section it is hiding in, and the field only bounces once the page has finished scrolling to it, so you actually see it.

  • A copy of your message — send us something through the contact form and you now get it back by email straight away, so our reply arrives on the same thread instead of out of nowhere.

  • Calmer content editing — finishing a section on the content page no longer jumps you down to the next one. The page stays where you left it, so a section that still needs a few more fields keeps your attention instead of scrolling away mid-edit.

  • The preview button says "Preview" — on the Content page, the floating preview button used to be a bare eye icon, so it was never obvious what it did. It now shows its label — "Preview" while your site is a draft, "View page" once it's live — right next to the icon, in your language.

  • Your section names, everywhere — renaming the Couple section now shows on your wedding site, and every section gains its own subtitle: the small line by the heading, editable per language right next to the name.

  • Reordering your sections — you can now drag a section by the whole row, not just the small handle.

  • Friendlier reminder emails — the "add your guests" reminder now greets you personally, keeps things short, and includes a one-click unsubscribe.

  • Homepage — a new question explains how each guest's personal link works, and the German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Italian pages now show the current four-step setup instead of an older five-step one.

  • Faster page loads, smarter cookie banner — the cookie consent banner now only shows where it's legally required (EU, UK, and similar regions), and loads much faster everywhere else.

  • Cookie banner speaks your language — the cookie consent banner text now shows correctly translated in all 16 supported languages, not just English.

  • A nudge to invite your partner — if you haven't added them yet, we'll send one friendly reminder a day after you sign up, or sooner once you publish your site or add your first guest. Only ever once, and never if you've already invited them.

  • Invite guests right after publishing — when your site goes live, the success screen can now lead straight into inviting your guests, with your site link and WhatsApp sharing one tap away.

  • Search and AI assistants — LumiWed now tells them exactly what it is and what it costs, so answers about pricing and features come back right instead of guessed.

Fixed

  • Activation emails now actually send — the partner invite nudge and the guest-list reminders were queued correctly but failed at the last step, so no couple ever received one. They go out again.

  • Fewer unexpected sign-outs — you shouldn't get bounced back to the sign-in page anymore while still signed in; a rare cookie-refresh timing issue is fixed.

  • Honest platform comparisons on the Journal — our comparison articles said some other wedding-website platforms had no multilingual support. Several of them do, so we rechecked every platform we name against its own help pages and rewrote what was wrong. Each article now says which month we checked.

  • Correct competitor prices in the Journal comparisons — we re-read every price we quote for another wedding-website platform on that platform's own pricing page, in every language. Weddybird's Premium was described as a one-time payment when it is a 12-month term, eWedding's cheapest paid plan was listed a little under its real price, and Zola's custom domains had an out-of-date starting figure. All three are fixed, and a price we cannot read on the vendor's own page is no longer published at all.

  • Stop quoting competitor prices in listicles that are not about price — ten comparison articles ranked platforms on multilingual depth, RSVP handling or guest experience, then ended with a price column and three sentences carrying a rival's fee. A competitor's price is the fastest-rotting claim on a comparison page: it changes without notice, it is quoted in one currency for readers in seventeen languages, and one stale number invites doubt about every other cell in the table. All of it is now stated as a feature fact instead — which plan tier a capability sits on, and whether it is free or paid — in all 17 languages. The comparison tables lose the price column entirely. LumiWed's own €59 is unchanged and still stated plainly, and the four articles whose subject genuinely is price keep their figures.

  • Correct eWedding's price in the Finnish Journal articles — ten Finnish comparisons said eWedding's cheapest paid plan starts at 9 dollars a month. It starts at $9.99, which is what the same sentence already said in every other language. The check that guards competitor prices only recognised currency symbols, so it never read the Finnish figure; it now reads currencies written as words too.

  • Search results that match the article — five comparison guides promised a price comparison in their search snippet that the articles no longer contain. In all 17 languages the snippet now names what each guide actually compares, and fits without being cut off mid-sentence.

  • Consistent section headings in the Journal comparisons, and a stale Polish article brought up to date — the ranked-platform articles label each section "Strengths", "Limitations" and "Best for", but Czech, Polish and Slovak had drifted into two different words for the same heading between articles, and French wrote its colons without the space French typography asks for. Each language now uses one wording throughout, and ratings read with the decimal comma those languages use. Separately, the Polish "affordable" article still described Weddybird as a two-language tool, Withjoy and eWedding as English-only, and Appy Couple as having no multilingual support — claims we corrected everywhere else months ago. It now says what the other sixteen languages say, checked against each platform's own pages.

  • Put pricing back in the European listicle, without the rotting part — removing competitor prices from that comparison had taken two columns out of its table, leaving nothing about how each platform charges. The table now carries a pricing-model column in all 17 languages: one-time, fixed term, monthly, free tier, free. No amounts, so nothing in it goes stale when a vendor changes a price, and it now agrees with the body text that Weddybird sells a fixed term rather than a one-time purchase.

  • Three search snippets stopped promising prices the articles no longer show — the European, RSVP and mixed-heritage comparisons still advertised a price comparison in their meta description. Each now names something the article actually compares. Several were also longer than the 160 characters search results allow and were being cut off mid-sentence; all of them now fit.

  • Journal on mobile — the "Get Started" button no longer overlaps the Journal name on small screens.

  • Correct the supported-language count in the Journal — Danish, Finnish, and Romanian articles still told readers that LumiWed publishes in seven languages, and seven articles in other languages answered "how many?" by naming the original seven instead of counting them. Every one of those now says 17, the number we actually ship, so a couple comparing platforms in their own language reads the same answer an English reader does.

  • Stop calling Weddybird's Premium a one-time purchase — its own pricing page sells a fixed term of one to three years that does not renew automatically, so describing it as a single payment was wrong. The last places that still said so are corrected in all 17 languages: the "happy to write each language yourself" recommendation now names the plan the capability sits on instead of a payment type, and the Weddybird strengths line describes the fixed term and the absence of automatic renewal rather than a "one-time price per term", which several languages rendered as a contradiction. Two languages had also added a one-time wording to a summary line that never carried one in English; those are gone too. No price we quote has changed.

  • No more "loading" errors after an update — if we ship a site update while you have a page open, it now quietly refreshes itself instead of showing a loading error, on every browser.

  • Content page loads cleanly — fixed a rare glitch where sections on your Content page could briefly flicker open or closed just after the page loaded.

  • Profile photos — you can now set a partner profile photo straight from your phone. Large photos were being rejected during upload; the picture is now resized for you, and if an upload still fails you get a clear message.

  • No more daily "your site expires" emails — the expiry warning now arrives once per milestone (30 days, 7 days, 1 day) instead of every morning, and it names the real number of days left instead of always saying 30. Sites without a title are shown by the couple's names rather than an empty pair of quotes.

  • Demo content asked up front — the "start with demo content or start clean?" question now appears on the first setup page you open, instead of waiting on the dashboard until after you had already filled everything in by hand. Picking demo content fills the page you are on right away.

  • Couple onboarding names — required first name and country fields no longer show an example wedding's details as a placeholder that looks already filled in. The fields now read as empty until you type your own, so "continue" tells you clearly what is still missing.

  • Steadier Design page — an occasional glitch that could make the Design page fail to load (mostly after tapping back or reopening a tab) is fixed, so your themes always show up.

  • Favicon uploads — you can now set a favicon on your wedding site. The upload no longer fails on the icon file type.

  • Clearer guest invite error — if you try to send an invite to a guest who was just removed, you now get a friendly message in your language asking you to refresh your guest list, instead of a confusing technical error.

  • Homepage numbers show up straight away — the counters on lumiwed.com now carry their real figures from the moment the page loads, instead of briefly reading zero.

  • Fixed the cookie banner's privacy-policy sentence — it was showing part in English even when the rest of the banner was already in your language.

  • Fixed more leftover English in the cookie banner — the "1 service" counter and the "enable/disable all" toggle text under each category now show correctly in your language too.

  • Internal tooling fix — the new marketing-email tool at its own address now loads instead of showing the wedding-site landing page.

  • Premium recognized everywhere — weddings upgraded via Stripe are now marked Premium across the whole platform, including faster translation processing that previously only applied to manually upgraded accounts.

  • Preview your RSVP form — the preview now shows your RSVP form the way guests see it, with the two answers and your own custom questions in the previewed language. No invitation code needed, so you can check it before you publish.

  • Reception at the ceremony venue — using "Copy ceremony location" no longer hides the reception: you can still name it, and your site shows ceremony and reception together on one card with a shared address, map, and parking note. The map's own "Open in Maps" button now stands alone, without a duplicate link beside it.

  • Sharing lumiwed.com — the link preview card said six languages. It now says 17, the number we actually translate into.

  • Wedding sites load reliably — fixed a bug where a dev-only debug panel could get bundled into the live site and stop guest pages from loading.

  • The welcome tour waits its turn — the guided tour now starts only after you have picked a starting point for your website (demo content or a clean slate), instead of opening on top of that question. Pick an option and the tour begins right away.

  • The welcome message closes on the first tap — the close button on the welcome message that greets your guests is now easier to hit on a phone, and the message also closes with the Escape key or fades away on its own, so it never covers your names and date.
