What's new — September 20, 2026 #

This week's LumiWed product updates.

New

• Invite guests to only some moments (Premium) — a rehearsal dinner for the family, a brunch for the guests staying the weekend: choose "Only guests I choose" on a schedule moment and tick who is invited. Everyone else never sees it on your site, is never asked about it in their RSVP, and never counts towards its headcount. Pick guests per moment from the schedule, or per guest from your guest list — when you add a guest, choose their moments right there.

• See your full guest total, plus-ones included — your guest list now opens with Invited people: everyone you have invited plus every plus-one seat you have allowed them, with the plus-ones broken out underneath. It is there from the moment you write your list, so you can book a venue and plan tables long before the first reply arrives. The card beside it, now called Confirmed people, still counts everyone who has said yes.

• Refresh invite links for the guests you pick — select guests in your list and refresh their magic links in one go. Useful if a link ends up somewhere it shouldn't: the old links stop working straight away, and you just resend the invites to the people you chose.

• Invitation codes bring guests back to your site — a guest who enters their personal code on your wedding site now lands right back on it, with their whole day in the schedule and their RSVP open. The RSVP page links back to your site too, without losing who they are.

• Invite imported guests to their moments — add a "moments" column to your guest list import (for example Welcome dinner; Brunch) and each guest is invited to those moments straight away. After an import, your guest list tells you who isn't invited to any of your invite-only moments yet and lets you invite them in one tap, and a new filter shows everyone not invited to a given moment.

• Your site remembers returning guests — guests who opened their personal link once are recognised when they come back to your site, even through your site's QR code or a shared link, so they keep seeing their name and every moment you invited them to.

Fixed

• Bounced invitations — when a guest's email address rejects your invitation, or was already known to bounce, their row on the guest list now shows it as bounced instead of sent, so you can correct the address or reach them another way.

• The content editor no longer jumps while it loads — the Language section and the Preview button used to appear a moment after the page did, pushing everything else down the screen just as you started reading or tapping. The page now opens at its final size.

• Clearer messages when a schedule, story or travel change can't be saved — if a save is refused, for example a moment set to "Only guests I choose" with nobody ticked yet, you now see a plain sentence in your dashboard language instead of an English message with a technical code in front of it.

• The dashboard opens much faster on a phone — it was downloading a large Chinese font file on every page, for everyone, before it could show anything. It now loads that only for couples using the dashboard in Chinese, which cuts the wait before the first screen appears by well over half on a mobile connection.

• Pages recover on their own after an update — if we shipped a new version of LumiWed while you had the dashboard open, a page like your guest list could occasionally fail to load and leave you on an error screen. It now retries automatically, waiting a moment for the update to reach you, so it recovers in place instead of stranding you.

• Gallery photos that will not load — a photo the gallery cannot show now falls back to a tidy placeholder, instead of the browser's broken-image icon in an empty tile.

• The guest list is easier to tap on a phone — the RSVP filter buttons and the Next and Previous page buttons were smaller than a fingertip, so taps landed just beside them and nothing happened. They are now full-sized, and the filter row still fits without the page sliding sideways.

• The partner names you enter stay put — an ordinary visit to your dashboard could replace the first partner's name with the name on the LumiWed account, or clear it when the account had no name. A name changed by your partner or by our support team could be undone the same way. Names you enter are now kept.

• RSVP emails only mention moments your guests can see — if you hide part of your schedule for guests who speak a certain language, their RSVP confirmation and the notification you receive no longer list it, and a guest who declines is no longer recorded as answering a moment they were never shown.

• RSVP page for a wedding that isn't live yet — a guest opening the RSVP page for a wedding still in draft, hidden, or invite-only saw a confusing "invalid invite" message. Now they see the same "not live yet" message the rest of the wedding site shows.

• RSVP questions your guests must answer — tapping one answer no longer shows an error on every other question they had not reached yet, and the error clears the moment they answer the question it belongs to. A required yes/no question now starts unanswered, with clear Yes and No buttons, instead of looking like the guest had already chosen No.

• RSVP save error screen — if saving an RSVP hit a rare network hiccup, a guest could see a blank, unbranded "Something went wrong!" screen instead of our normal, friendly error message. Now they always see the same reassuring error card, with a way to retry or reload.

• Wedding date needed to publish — if your wedding date is still empty, the content step now says so right next to the date field, instead of leaving you to wonder why the Publish button stays greyed out.

• Saving settings while setting up reminders — changing a setting like your site's visibility no longer shows an error when you've turned on reminder emails but haven't added a reminder yet.

• Weddings with one optional moment — when you offer a single moment that guests have to opt in to, they are now actually asked about it. Before, the question was hidden and the answer was recorded as a no on their behalf, so their confirmation email and your guest list both showed them skipping something they had never been asked about.

• Wedding site address — when the web address for your wedding site was already taken or left empty, saving showed a confusing error. Now you get a clear message asking you to pick a different one.
