What's new — October 25, 2026 #
This week's LumiWed product updates.
25 Oct 2026
New
-
Brazilian Portuguese — add it to your wedding site, invitations and emails, or use your dashboard in it, alongside European Portuguese. Language menus now read PT-BR and PT-PT so the two are easy to tell apart.
-
British English — add it to your wedding site, invitations and emails, or use your dashboard in it: British spelling and day-first dates. English now reads as American English throughout, with month-first dates, and the language menus show EN-US and EN-GB.
-
Emails — you can now write the emails your guests get in your own words: the invitation, RSVP replies, reminders and schedule emails, in each of your languages, with a live preview as you type. When you're done, we can translate your changes into your other languages for you. Premium.
-
Latin American Spanish — add it to your wedding site, invitations and emails, or use your dashboard in it, alongside Spanish from Spain. Language menus now read ES-LA and ES-ES so the two are easy to tell apart.
Improved
-
Edits translate themselves — on a published Premium site, changes you make now reach guests in every language a few minutes after you stop editing, no re-publish needed.
-
Cookie settings — change your cookie choices any time from the new "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every lumiwed.com page.
-
Correct translated headings — you can now fix the translated heading above your parents' names for each language, and the section settings show the translated section titles your guests actually read.
-
More natural guest emails in Czech, Spanish, Portuguese and Finnish — invitations, reminders and confirmations now read the way a native speaker would write them. Couples and families get a proper plural greeting in Finnish and a plural "reply by" label everywhere, and the Emails editor speaks to you in your own language throughout.
-
Guest invite pages — open faster, and show the answer sooner after a guest sends their RSVP.
-
Faster RSVPs — sending or changing an RSVP now saves faster, and a reply that can't be saved is never left half stored: either all of it lands or none of it does.
-
Faster translations after publishing — your site's translations now finish right after you publish, instead of sometimes waiting a few extra minutes for the next round.
-
Wedding websites — open faster for guests visiting for the first time.
-
Guest emails — every invitation and reminder now ends with a small line, in the guest's language, that lets them stop emails about your wedding.
-
Faster guest welcome page — the headline and introduction on the page where guests enter their invite code now show the moment the page loads, instead of fading in about a second later on phones. With "reduce motion" turned on in their device settings, the page also stays still.
-
Faster invite-code page — when your site is private, the page where guests type their invite code now loads only what it needs, so it opens noticeably quicker on phones. Your full site still loads the moment their code is in.
-
Clearer pacing for big invite sends — invitations now go out at up to 100 a day per wedding, and the guests page tells you when today's share is sent and the rest will follow tomorrow.
-
Finding your language — the language menu on your wedding site now opens with the language you are reading in on top, the rest listed A→Z, and a tick beside the one in use.
-
Easier taps on small buttons — the little icon buttons across your dashboard and wedding site, like dismiss, edit, delete and copy, are now easier to hit on a phone without looking any bigger.
-
Portuguese wording — the dashboard, emails and website in Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal) now always speak of LumiWed the same way ("a LumiWed"), instead of switching mid-screen.
-
Faster RSVP replies — when guests answer, their confirmation now shows up right away; the confirmation email and your notification follow a moment later.
-
Site deletion warnings — the reminders before an expired site is permanently removed now always reach you, even if you turned off other LumiWed emails, and they arrive in the same design as the rest of our emails.
-
Invite code page — the text under the headline and the small hints in the invite code box are now darker, so guests can read them easily on their phones.
-
Your own words in every language — the line above your names, your section titles and intros, and the heading over your parents' names are now translated into your other languages, instead of guests there seeing our default text. Bible verses keep the reference and wording guests know in their language. Write your own version for a language and that one is used.
-
Email preference pages — the pages you land on after unsubscribing from, or re-subscribing to, our emails now look like the rest of LumiWed and fit your phone screen.
-
Unsubscribe page — the page you land on after unsubscribing from our emails, re-subscribing, or opening an old link now has a clear headline in your language, a small illustration, and a way back to LumiWed.
Fixed
-
Chinese — clearer wording in the RSVP form, the RSVP confirmation and the partner invitation, and proper Chinese punctuation in a few dashboard titles.
-
Editing your content — fixed a rare error that could interrupt the content editor while you were making changes to your wedding page.
-
Dates in your dashboard — your wedding date, schedule and date pickers now show dates in your dashboard language and on the clock you chose in Settings, instead of always in British English.
-
Opening a page after an update — fixed a rare error that could interrupt your dashboard with a loading failure when we shipped an update while you had it open; the page now quietly refreshes itself instead.
-
Date and time settings — if you picked a date format, time format or wedding time zone in Settings, it now stays put the first time you confirm your language, even when you chose the standard ones.
-
Guest emails — apostrophes in invitations, reminders and the unsubscribe page no longer show a stray gap after them ("Don’ t") on some computers.
-
Starting your setup — "Add your personal details" no longer fails with a "Could not open content" error on a brand-new account.
-
Email dates start with a capital — where an invitation, reminder or moment email shows the date on its own line, it now begins with a capital letter ("Sobota 7. srpna 2027") in every language that writes weekdays lowercase. Dates inside your own sentences stay as they are.
-
Guest email typos — an address like
[email protected]no longer slips in through a guest list import: the guest is still added, just without it. And when an older address has a typo like that, sending the invitation now asks you to check it instead of the email quietly bouncing. -
Clearer message for a mistyped guest email — when you save a guest with an address that isn't a valid email, the dashboard now tells you to check it for a typo instead of showing a confusing technical error.
-
Guest emails — in languages where the wording depends on the guest's gender, such as Czech or Polish, you can now write a line one way for women and another for men. Each version saves on its own and no longer replaces the other.
-
Wedding site — fixed a rare flicker that could briefly reload your wedding site for guests opening it in some languages.
-
Language suggestion — once you pick a language or sign up, the "Would you like LumiWed in…?" banner now goes away instead of following you into your dashboard.
-
Long links wrap on phones — a long web address in your story, FAQ or love story no longer makes your wedding site slide sideways on a phone. It now wraps onto the next line, in the dashboard preview too.
-
Reminder timing — switching a reminder between days, weeks and months now keeps the same timing (200 days becomes 29 weeks) instead of keeping the number, which could push it past the limit and quietly stop your other settings from saving.
-
Your answer after a reload — a guest who reloaded their invitation right after sending their RSVP could briefly see it as not answered yet. The page now shows the answer they just gave.
-
RSVP confirmation right after Send — when a guest pressed Send RSVP on a slow phone connection, the form could stay on screen with its Send button for a few seconds, as if nothing had happened, even though the answer was already saved. Guests now see their confirmation the moment it is stored.
-
Section settings on Design — a section name you typed or a language you switched off could quietly reset before you pressed Save. Your changes now stay until you save them.
-
Send invite stays until the email goes out — sharing a guest's link yourself (on WhatsApp, say) or marking them as invited no longer hides Send invite. The button now stays on the guest until an invitation email has actually been sent, so you can do both.
-
Send reminder sends a reminder — on a guest who already got the invitation email, Send reminder now sends them a short reminder email pointing back to their invitation, instead of the whole invitation again.
-
Test emails reach whoever sends them — when you and your partner each have an account, "Email me a test" and "Email me a preview" now go to the email you sign in with, instead of always to the wedding's contact email.
-
Venue map — the map on your wedding page now shows for every guest. Some guests in Europe saw an empty box where the map should be.
-
Cookie settings — the analytics and marketing switches now clearly show whether each one is on or off.
-
Opening your wedding site — fixed a rare loading error, mostly in Firefox, that could appear right after we shipped an update; the page now offers a reload that recovers it instead of a retry that could not.
-
Polished Chinese dashboard copy — punctuation in the Chinese dashboard now uses full-width marks throughout, invite codes, verification codes and ownership transfers are named the same way everywhere, a schedule item is no longer called by two different names on the same screen, and a sample love-story line that stopped mid-sentence is complete again.
-
Chinese wedding invitations point guests at the RSVP link — the inbox preview line read as though guests should reply to the email. It now says the RSVP link is enclosed, matching the button inside the invitation.
